DESCRIPTION:Packing for the Planet: An Earth Month Event! \nThis April\, in honor of Earth Day\, we are coming together to celebrate our shared home. Together\, we hope to turn kindness into action to make sure no one in our community goes hungry. We believe the best way to care for our planet is by looking out for the people on it! \nWe’ve set an ambitious goal to pack 100\,000 meals! We are looking for volunteers of all ages to join us for an impactful 1.5-hour shift to help us pack for our planet! \nShift One: 8:30 – 10:30 AM\nShift Two: 11:00 – 1:00 PM\nShift Three: 1:30 – 3:30 PM \nCome enjoy music and a lively atmosphere as we unite to achieve this amazing goal\, and please bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated as we dance and pack the afternoon away! \nWe want the whole team involved! Families with children are welcome to participate together. However\, please remember that our event space is an active working warehouse. For everyone’s safety\, all minors must be actively supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. \nWe extend our sincere thanks to Sara Lee for supporting the fight against food insecurity and for sponsoring this community event! \nREGISTER

In collaboration with U.S. Hunger\, King Soopers/City Market associates and community members are teaming up in Denver to pack and distribute 1 million nutritious meals for local families in need. Join us for this high-energy\, high-impact day of service! \nThe first 2\,000 volunteers will receive a Zero Hunger | Zero Waste T-shirt\, while supplies last! \nThere are multiple shift times available. You can sign up for one or multiple shifts! \nShift 1: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM\nShift 2: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM\nShift 3: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM \nVolunteer Roles \nTable Captain \nLead a team of 10–15 volunteers in properly packaging meals.\nIdeal for volunteers comfortable speaking and leading others. \nHeavy Lifter \nSupport packaging efficiency by filling bins with food and moving completed boxes to pallets.\nRequired: Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly. \nCommunity Volunteer \nHelp pack meals alongside other volunteers as part of the effort to reach 1 million meals.\nNo prior experience required—just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to serve!\nPerfect for individuals\, families\, and groups looking to make an impact. \nOur community events are family-friendly!
